Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Monfin LLC ("we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the Monfin mobile application (the "App"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country, if higher) and capable of forming a binding contract to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Description of the Service

Monfin is a personal budgeting and expense-tracking tool that lets you record accounts, categories, and transactions to help you track your own spending and income. The App is not a bank, payment processor, financial institution, or investment adviser. It does not connect to your bank accounts or cards, does not move money on your behalf, and does not provide financial, tax, legal, or investment advice. Any totals, summaries, or currency conversions shown in the App are for your personal informational convenience only and may not be fully accurate — you are responsible for verifying your own financial records independently.

3. Your Account

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your username and password and for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep it up to date.
  • You may not share your account with others or transfer it without our consent.
  • Notify us immediately at ([email protected]) if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

4. Your Content

"Your Content" means the accounts, categories, transactions, notes, and any other information you enter into the App. You retain ownership of Your Content. By using the App, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, sync, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the App to you. We do not claim any ownership rights over Your Content, and we do not use it for advertising or sell it to third parties.

You are solely responsible for Your Content and for ensuring it does not violate any law or third party's rights.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, other users' accounts, or our servers/systems;
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except as permitted by applicable law;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App's operation (e.g., through malware, denial-of-service attacks, or scraping);
  • Use the App to store or transmit content that is unlawful, infringing, or harmful to others.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

6. Availability and Changes to the App

We may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any feature of it) at any time, with or without notice. We aim to keep the App available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we are not liable for any unavailability or data loss caused by outages, maintenance, or factors outside our reasonable control.

7. Account Deletion and Termination

By you. You may permanently delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account within the App. This immediately and permanently deletes your account and all associated data from our servers and your device, and cannot be undone.

By us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the App, with notice where reasonably practicable.

8. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT ANY FINANCIAL CALCULATIONS, TOTALS, OR CURRENCY CONVERSIONS DISPLAYED WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING YOUR OWN FINANCIAL DECISIONS AND RECORDS.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR REVENUE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US, IF ANY, IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

10. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services (such as Google Firebase for push notifications and crash reporting, and Google Fonts) to operate. These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW / JURISDICTION, e.g. "the Republic of Armenia"], without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the App will be resolved in the courts located in [VENUE], unless applicable consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts, in which case that right is preserved.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in-app. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
